the midlands in offaly has a a range out to 1200m, there are'nt that many and i think that one would be the closest to you. you can't just show up and shoot though you need to be a member of the range and have insurance. I'm sure someone else will be able to give you some better info.

Hey andy, harbour house in nurney would be closest, plenty of members here are members there. If you want long range stuff youd be heading to midlands

Midlands have the longest range in the country where you can shoot out to 1200 yards. They have other ranges too and facilities for pistol and clay shooting.

Quote:
Facilities for the Range

• 50 Bay sheltered firing line with targets at 50, 100, 200 and 300 meters.
• 100 to 600 yard range with Target Butts system.
• 800, 900, 1,000 yard range with Target Butts system.
• Pistol Range from 10 to 25meters.
• Sporting ClayPpigeon.
Membership is a small fortune for the first year at 600 and 300 yearly after that.

Alot of the other places are limited to .22 or pistol shooting.

It's a bit away from you but An Riocht in Kerry have 100, 300 & 300 for fullbore, rimfire & a pistol range.

OK I'm bit biased, but Harbour House has just held the Internationals there for Ireland, Germany and UK teams and individuals. It was a brilliant and well executed event by HH & the NASRPC. It had over 140 competitors and everyone was accommodated no matter what discipline they wanted to shoot.

There are a number of ranges, one, a brand new dedicated pistol range to 25m, a 50 m gallery rifle/pistol (rf & cf) and also a 50m BR range. It also has archery and shotgun grounds. Now if that doesn't warrant the membership fees I don't know what does. See you on the line.
